Food Project

Join us in a project to enroll donors and collect food to support Lamoille Community Food Share. We will provide donors with a bright green shopping bag and ask them to purchase one nonperishable food item weekly for two months. On the second Saturday of every even month we will collect these shopping bags and give them a new one. It is that easy.

Our collection days are the second Saturday of every even month. Volunteers will be at the pantry from 11:30-12:30 PM on those days. Can't make it? The libraries in Morrisville, Stowe and Hyde Park have collection boxes and empty green bags. You can also drop off your bags at the pantry whenever we are open.

Some folks have come up with creative ways to donate. Having a food drive? Hand out green bags in advance- it helps to remind your donors. Looking for a project for your office? Try a one time green bag collection. You are not committed to joining the program long term. Any little bit helps.

This is just some of the food our friends at JCOGS collected in their Holiday Food Drive.

Coldwell Banker Carlson Real Estate in Stowe encourages their staff and clients to donate. They promote it on their Facebook page.

Mt Mansfield Winter Academy brought in 40 bags!

Our June 2019 collection day was dedicated to our friend and Board member Karen Loh who passed away in 2018. Program Coordinator Susan Rousselle is seen here helping to sort a big donation from Peg Demars. Karen is smiling.
