The Green Mountain Disc Golf Club have chosen LCFS and the Waterbury Area Food Shelf to share in the proceeds of their winter fundraiser Ice Bowl 2018. This year's event will be held on Sunday February 25, at the Center Chains Disc Golf course in Waterbury Center. Contestants pay to play as well as drumming up sponsors. We are very grateful to everyone at GMDCC. Last year they donated over $7000!
Thanks to our friends at the Stowe Mountain Bike Club for including us in their Leaf Blower Classic. They asked people to bring donations for LCFS. We received a carload of donations!
Lee Labier stopped by at Thanksgiving with the proceeds from the 31st(!) annual Turkey Trot. He brought a load of food and almost $700! Thank you Lee and all who participated!
How does the Ice Bowl work? Players pay to enter and for various "extras" like mulligans (do-overs), and they also drum up sponsors.
Prizes are awarded to players who win various categories. We try to have at least one prize for every player!
Thanks to everyone who contributed prizes:
Hank Glowiak of Chuck's Bikes in Morrisville organized the Fourth Annual Fat Bike Ride to benefit LCFS. It was held January 20 on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. They raised over $1200! Thanks to Hank and everyone who participated!
St John's in the Mountains Episcopal Church holds its Simple Soup Suppers every Wednesday during Lent. Join them from 5:30-7 PM for soup, bread dessert and great company! All proceeds are donated to LCFS.
