Events

Lamoille Community Food Share board members and volunteers participate in various events throughout the year. Area organizations and businesses also organize events for our benefit. These events help us to raise funds and awareness. We are very grateful for the support!

Disc Golf Vermont held its Winter fundraiser Ice Bucket XV on a beautiful day at Trapp Family Lodge on Saturday February 26. Players pay to play and solicit donations. LCFS received $8000! They also donated over $2000 to the World Central Kitchen for Ukranian relief.

We want to send out a HUGE thank you to all of those who participate, to Donald P. Blake, Jr, Inc for sponsoring the event and for all of the individuals and businesses who donate prizes. We try to have prizes for all of the participants!

Lamoille Songwriters in the Round was held on February 10 at Spruce Peak Arts. Singer Songwriters Abby Sherman, John Fusco, Christine Malcolm, Trevor Crist, Lesley Grant and David Karl Roberts sang their hearts out to an enthusiastic crowd both in the theater and live streamed. Each performer chose their songs on the spot in reaction to the song that went before. Thanks to the sponsors of the event- Ten Bends Beer, Stowe Cider, Lamoille Valley Chevrolet and Lamoille Valley Ford- all of the proceeds will go to support Lamoille Community Food Share.

We are so very grateful to these hardworking artists!

The Wolcott Post Office held their Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive in May. Thanks to their letter carriers and all of the kind folks on their routes we received a carload of food.

Terri Leary challenged the Edward Jones Region 91 meeting at Spruce Peak Lodge to a food drive. Look at all the food they collected! We are so grateful to everyone who donated.

We had a table at this year's Rocktoberfest in Morrisville on Saturday September 24. We held a 50/50 raffle. We also collected food donations offering a raffle ticket for every two food items. We brought in over $550 and our winner, Nan Beauregard, kindly donated her proceeds!

What a great way to burn calories before your Thanksgiving feast and help your neighbors at the same time! Thanks to our friends at Peoples Academy for organizing this!

Looks like a fun event hosted by VFW Post 9653!

Sam Guy challenged local business people to make donations. So many businesses stepped up. We are very grateful!
