We are a nonprofit group of volunteers dedicated to providing food security for our friends and neighbors in and around Lamoille County, Vermont.  We have a pantry located at 197 Harrel Street in Morrisville, next door to Community Action and the Community College of Vermont.  Here families can come and receive basic food and other grocery items to help stretch their food dollar.

We supply our pantry through donations  of food and cash.  We use our funds to purchase food through the Vermont Foodbank and at various retail outlets where we can get the best price. We purchase milk and eggs from a local dairy. Fresh vegetables are supplied to us through the Vermont Foodbank and Salvation Farms, an organization that collects directly from the farmers and distributes to groups such as ours, and many of our neighbors who grow extra produce just for us.

Our fund raising is done mainly through newsletters, word of mouth, various religious organizations throughout the area, and other special events. We also apply for grants that might be right for us.

The Lamoille Neighborhood Food Project is a new initiative which debuted Fall 2013. This is a donor driven program which will collect food on our behalf throughout the year.

Deb Krempecke is our manager and Kevin Carter is our assistant manager. We served an average of 343 families per month in 2013.
