Our August 8 Green Bag Day was a great success!  Sue Mahoney is shown here dropping off her bags from all of her neighbors at Black Bear Run.

Vermont Yetis Baseball Club collected 32 bags for the October Green Bag Day.

Helping  Lamoille Community Food Share is as easy as 1-2-3.

1. Get a free Green Bag (available at the Food Share).

2. Use your bag to store in-date nonperishable food items (see wish list for suggestions).

3.Bring your bag to the pantry or leave it in a Green Bag Project collection box located at the Morrisville, Hyde Park and Stowe libraries. Green Bag Days are on the second Saturday of the even numbered months (Feb., Apr., June, Aug., Oct. and Dec.) from 9:30AM-11:00AM. You may also drop off your bag anytime the pantry is open.

Your donations help in so many ways. Every two months, LCFS can expect to receive a windfall of your donated  groceries, personal care items and household cleaning items that go right on the pantry shelves. These help families in the Lamoille area struggling with food insecurity and decreases the burden on the Food Share budget. We truly appreciate your support!

How it works

Terri Leary challenged the Edward Jones Region 91 meeting at Spruce Peak Lodge to a food drive. Look at all the food they collected! Green Bags can be used in all sorts of ways!

Rebecca Chase picked up some green bags on her way to the market and came back with three bags chock full of goodies! No need to wait for Green bag Day to contribute!
